Ingredients:
- ½ lb semolina
- 13 eggs yolks, whites from 4 eggs
- 10 oz sugar
- 10 oz butter
- 2 oz flour
- ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- ¼ lb ground almonds
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 dessertspoon brandy
- 4 oz milk
Method:
Cream butter and ¾ sugar till light. Gradually add in the milk, beat all the time. Add semolina. Stir well and let it stand for 1 hour.

Add egg yolks which have been beaten with
remainder of the sugar, a little at a time. Add whipped whites of
4 eggs and
then almonds and flour sifted with bicarbonate of soda. Add brandy and vanilla.
